Deaconess Foundation works to improve the health of the St. Louis community, with a special focus on children, especially those most vulnerable. Recently, the foundation changed direction to do add advocacy and community engagement to their existing grantmaking work. While their former tagline, "Healthy and hope-filled futures" conveyed positive thoughts, it didn't distinguish the foundation from other organizations. Working with the board, staff and advancement committee, we developed new talking points and a new tagline, "Health and hope for all St. Louis children." The new messaging helps distinguish the foundation, communicate its mission and vision, and allows board and staff to talk clearly and concisely about the foundation. Once the messaging was complete, we revamped their visual brand and developed a new website, event graphics and print collateral.
